Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ½ cup Fresh Gourmet® Uncured Bacon Pieces
- Optional: drizzle of balsamic glaze for serving
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow leaves. Slice sprouts in half for faster cooking and crispier edges. Pro Tip: For extra tenderness, microwave halved sprouts for 2 minutes before sautéing.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it shimmer.
- Place Brussels sprouts cut-side down in the skillet. Cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown and crispy.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss and continue cooking for another 5–6 minutes until sprouts are tender and caramelized.
- Remove from heat and stir in Fresh Gourmet® Uncured Bacon Pieces for smoky, savory crunch.
- Optional: Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a touch of sweetness.
